This recipe is so much fun and a great hit at parties.. plus there is never an annoying hunt for tupperware.
If you are like me you have a bunch of jars around from your mother giving you things she has canned over the years. This stockpile comes in handy when I make salsa and pizza in a jar.
You will want to make your favorite dough recipe and divide it up between the amount of pizza jars you want to make. These jars freeze easily so keep that in mind if you have left over ingerdients.
There are three ways to have some really good pizza in a jar.
One: Spoon 1/2 c of dough in the bottom of the jar and cook for about 15 minutes at 350°F. Once the dough is golden brown, layer all your favorite ingredients as you would a regular pizza except you will want to throw in a thin sauce layer every two layers.
Two: Pour sauce in the bottom of the pizza jar then layer all your ingredients until the jar is filled to 1 inch from the lip of the jar. Place 1/2 c of pizza dough on top then bake for 15 minutes at 350°F.
Three: Combine the dough step from method one, then layer ingredients and add additional dough at the top like method two.
All-in-all you will be baking these in 15 minutes incriments at 350°F.
